Joint Programme on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health in Kenya

The Joint Programme on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) in Kenya brings together H6 partners WHO, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNAIDS and UN Women, working in 10 counties with a high burden of maternal mortality.

The programme aims to improve access to integrated RMNCAH, HIV and gender-based violence services, especially among underserved counties and groups. At the same time, it works to improve service quality by boosting the capacity of health care workers, and to increase demand by improving community health systems and enhancing citizen engagement. It also aims to strengthen institutional capacity for planning, budgeting, coordination, supervision, monitoring and evaluation of services at the county and national level.
