Many programme planners still find it challenging to develop effective programmes for youth. Many have exciting ideas, but lack evidence of successful programmes, clear guidelines on innovative principles, and strategies for sustainability, all of which would facilitate the implementation of their initiatives. Meanwhile, young people are counting on us, as sexual and reproductive health professionals, to involve and listen to them, and respond to their concerns in a manner that is timely and relevant.
