Accelerating evidence-based decision-making, accountability and learning are key to deliver on the promise of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD). Marking the one-year anniversary of the Nairobi Summit on ICPD25, UNFPA Evaluation Office has released an animation video capturing the importance of the evaluation function at UNFPA, and its critical role in achieving universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights.

In this Decade of Action, evaluation provides the critical evidence to know if UNFPA programmes are working or not, why, for whom and under what circumstances. Evaluative evidence and lessons are the backbone to inform decisions and programmes, and accelerate transparency, accountability and learning at UNFPA to reach those women and girls still left behind.

Watch the video to learn more about the importance and role of the evaluation function at UNFPA.
