A new resource by the UNFPA Evaluation Office provides guidance to evaluation managers and evaluators on integrating disability inclusion dimensions in all phases of the evaluation. Accompanying this resource is the 2020 edition of guidance and tools on Evaluation Quality at UNFPA that also includes disability inclusion dimensions in the Evaluation Quality Assessment (EQA) grid. The new guidance is a companion piece to the UNFPA Evaluation Handbook on how to design and conduct a country programme evaluation.
In sync with the 2019 United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS), the guidance will ensure a crosscutting focus on disability throughout the evaluation process and across all types of UNFPA evaluations. On the road to the Sustainable Development Goals and in recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, this guidance will help in providing UNFPA crucial disability-related evaluative evidence that in turn can inform the organization’s efforts to deliver fully inclusive sexual and reproductive health policies and services for persons with disabilities.
Detailed information on the guidance is available here.
