UNFPA and OpenIDIO have launched a new crowd-sourcing challenge on Young People's Sexual and Reproductive Health. The question under investigation is: "How might we radically improve access to, and quality of, sexual and reproductive health education and services for young people?"
Young people from age 10-24 constitute a quarter of the world’s population. Their reproductive choices and access to support will shape not only their own futures, but future generations as well. Young people have the fundamental right to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health, as well as have access to relevant care.
This innovative challenge seeks to support organizations working to improve access to, and the quality of, sexual and reproductive health education and services for young people.
The hope is that this Challenge will be reflective of our times – and the capability of participants around the world. By providing access and education, and reducing the stigma around sexual and reproductive health, young people can live without fear, make smart decisions for themselves, and work toward their dreams.
Read our Challenge Brief for more about the topic, and check out our Evaluation Criteria for details on requirements and submission guidelines. Then, join us in our Research Phase (September 7–October 1) and submit personal stories, interviews, and programmatic evidence that will help us generate impactful ideas in the next phase on the Challenge.
