Under the guidance of the Chief Office of the Executive Director (OED) and in close collaboration with Special Assistant to Executive Director and Executive Associate, the Administrative Associate supports the efficient day to day functioning of the Executive Office.


Qualifications and Experience 

•         Completion of secondary school education with supplemental training in: office management, communication and computers.

•         6 years extended specialized experience in office management and protocol functions.

•         Fluency in English is required.  Knowledge of a second UN official language is desirable.

.         Candidate must pass the UN GGST/ASAT exams to be appointed. 

        Knowledge of Atlas or similar type systems an asset

Externally advertised General Service fixed-term appointment and temporary appointment (TA) positions located in New York/Washington D.C. are open to candidates who are USA Permanent Residents, USA Citizens or current holder of a valid G4 visa at the time of their application and whose G4 visa has been acquired on account of their employment in the UN systems based in New York or Washington, D.C.

Selected candidates who meet the above mentioned eligibility criteria are responsible for their own travel and/or relocation costs.
