The Assistant Representative (Government Liaison, South-South and triangular cooperation (SSTC) & Partnerships) is located in the China Country Office (CO) and reports to the UNFPA Deputy Representative under the overall guidance of the Representative
The Assistant Representative leads the CO’s engagement with the Government of China (GoC) with regard to its South-South and triangular cooperation (SSTC) efforts in other developing countries, and the development of partnerships with private sector and civil society institutions, bilateral & multilateral development agencies including UN sister agencies. S/he leads the programme team on matters related to partnerships, government relations and resource mobilization and collaborates with the CO’s operations/administrative support staff.
You Have
Your Education
Advanced degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science field.
Your Knowledge and Experience
Five years professional experience in the field of reproductive health, and population and development activities, with experience working with government institutions, donor agencies, CSOs, and/or the private sector. Proficiency in current office software applications is required.
Your Languages
Fluency in Chinese is required. Working knowledge of English is required.
