The Position:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Policy Strategic Information and Planning Branch and with the direct reporting to the Results-Based Management Adviser and the Specialist in Results-Based Management, the Consultant will support the analysis and consolidation of the annual performance data of global and regional programmes. She/or he will contribute to identifying main priorities of global and regional programmes within the context of the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan development, and will also ensure timely and accurate preparation of UNFPA country-level reporting data for consolidated annual publication. The Consultant will be located in the Policy, Strategic Information and Planning Branch, Policy and Strategy Division, maintain regular contact with external partners and contractors, as well as with UNFPA staff assigned to the various Task Teams involved in the development of the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, thus ensuring inter-divisional representation of interests and potential within the Strategic Planning process, as well as production of high-quality communications products for reporting to donors and the general public.

Job Purpose:
The incumbent contributes to the development of the global and regional programmes within the context of the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, and facilitates the reporting of annual country-level results for consolidated annual publication. S/he will provide dedicated programme support in tracking, following up on, and contributing to the performance analysis of global and regional programmes in 2020 and conduct technical review, editing and quality assurance of the full set of country programme results to be displayed on the country pages of the UNFPA data transparency portal.
You Would Be Responsible for:
- Vetting and preparing data and content for the 2020 country programme results section of the country pages on the UNFPA data transparency portal (reviewing annual country reports, selecting basket of results against agreed criteria, quality assuring the results data).
- Working collaboratively with Annual Report team in Policy and Strategy Division (PSD), and relevant colleagues in the Web team, Media and Communications Branch, to ensure data and content are ready in in line with project deadlines.
- Preparing and editing the 2020 Orange Book of Results data.
- Updating design and usability, including annual data input into the Learn to Adapt Results Map;
Preparing adaptation and agility publication documenting UNFPA’s learning and results in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. - Reviewing and analyzing global and regional units’ annual reports and progress performance data trends for 2020.
- Contributing to the preparation of the 2020 Annual Report on the performance of global and regional interventions.
- Supporting overall coordination process of global and regional interventions development for 2022-2025.
- Preparing information and/or briefs, summaries and background documentation relating to the progress of 2022-2025 global and regional interventions development.
- Contributing to the development the Annex on 2022-2025 global and regional interventions, as part of the 2022-2025 UNFPA Strategic Plan package.
- Ensuring optimal communication flows with other organizational divisions/country offices/units and external counterparts, through effective use of written, verbal and electronic communication, organize audio and video conferences.
- Contributing to the development or update of programmatic guidance, concept notes, etc, as required.
- Editing support when required.
- Any other tasks assigned by the PSD Directorate.
Knowledge and Experience:
- At lease ten years work experience at the international level in programme management functions, including its design and performance analysis and monitoring;
- Advanced university degree in Social Sciences
- Experience working in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, gender, you and population data is advantage;
- Strong skills in data analysis and infographics;
- Technical expertise and experience in communicating results;
- Computer literacy - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.;
- Excellent writing and communication skills;
- Experience working in tight-knit teams, sound judgment and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members of different national and cultural backgrounds;
- Previous experience with international organizations is an advantage, UN/UNFPA HQ preferred;
- Required proficiency in English, as well as competency in French and Spanish.

Duration & Location: 6 months at UNFPA Headquarters, New York
Compensation: UNFPA offers an attractive remuneration payable monthly.
