Position Summary:
The Finance Analyst duties are related to the cross-border operation and enable financial integrity as well as proper OFA management. The Finance Analyst delivers quality financial services to internal and external clients mastering all relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. S/he takes a client-oriented results-focused approach to interpreting the rules, procedures and guidelines, providing support and guidance to the Gaziantep Office and UNFPA-supported projects.
The Finance Analyst is located in Gaziantep and reports to Gaziantep Humanitarian RH Adviser.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in accounting, finance, budget or administration.
- Knowledge of financial and budgetary principles and practices, budget development and financial administration of resources.
- Familiarity with UN procedures and working methods is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is desirable.
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant, (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent is desirable.
- Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate ERP/Peoplesoft systems.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
