The Position:

As the institutional Focal Point for Diversity and Inclusion you will coordinate the institution’s efforts to improve its workforce diversity in all its dimensions and to remove barriers to inclusion so that every employee will be fully engaged and able to contribute to the organization’s results as their authentic selves and to their fullest potential.

You will report directly to the Chief, Career Development and Talent Mobility.

Job Purpose:

The HR Specialist, Culture, Diversity and Engagement will coordinate UNFPA’s continued efforts to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the populations it serves, a workplace that fosters belonging, inclusion and engagement of all its employees. The HR Specialist will facilitate the removal of institutional obstacles to inclusion to ensure that everyone is accepted, treated equitably and offered the same opportunities to fully contribute to the success of the organization as their authentic selves.

Education:

Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administrations, Training, Education or related discipline.  

Knowledge and Experience: 

Five years of relevant progressively responsible experience in generalist human resources management, D&I KPI monitoring & evaluation Talent Reviews and Talent Management administered  at an international level;  

Demonstrated professional competence and success in the delivery of innovative programs and interventions related to diversity and inclusion in a complex multicultural environment; 

Excellent analytical skills; 

Strong Coaching skills;

Demonstrated ability to build partnerships coupled with strong collaboration and team skills;

Ability to influence effectively and gain commitment;

Superb oral and written communication skills;

Proven skills in group facilitation and presentation. 

Languages

Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French and/or Spanish, is desirable.
