The Position:
You will be the institutional focal point for the development of HR systems, HR data and workforce analytics for decision-making purposes and for high-level workforce forecasting and planning.
You will report directly to the HR Director.

Job Purpose:
The HR Specialist, Workforce Planning and Analytics will be responsible for institutional level workforce planning (WFP) and reporting on internal and external trends. This role will support WFP at regional and/or unit level, collaborating with key units such as Resource Planning and Budgeting Branch and HR Client Services and Outreach Branch. The Specialist will also be responsible for providing workforce analytics to support data driven decision-making on UNFPA’s management of its human resources at all levels and realignment purposes. The Specialist will be the point person for the development of interlinked HR systems capable of capturing and producing reliable HR data.
Education:
Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Sciences, Information Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
Knowledge and Experience:
Seven years of relevant progressively responsible experience in systems, workforce planning and/or HR or business analytics;
Recognized expert in analytical approaches applied to Human Resources information;
Prove full command of systems, platforms and application management, including automation and modern self-services development;
Demonstrated professional competence in the delivery of modern analytics services;
Proven superior analytical skills;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
Proven project management skills coupled with strong collaboration and team skills;
Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to explain complex issues in an easy to understand manner;
Strong client orientation and outreach skills;
Ability to influence effectively and gain commitment.
Languages:
Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French and/or Spanish, is desirable.
