The Position:
As a member of the Learning Team in the Career Development & Mobility Branch, you will be responsible for participating in needs assessments, developing core learning programs as envisioned in the Learning Strategy and facilitating implementation and evaluation of learning activities.
You will report to the HR Specialist, Leadership Development & Management Learning.

Job Purpose:
As a member of the Learning Team, the HR Specialist, Learning Design Expert oversees program design and development and contributes to needs assessments, developing, implementing and contributing to evaluation of core learning programmes in close collaboration with functional heads and under the guidance of the Leadership Development and Management Learning Specialist.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Advanced university degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Organization Development, Training or related discipline.
Knowledge and Experience:
● Five years of relevant progressively responsible experience in training, adult education and/or staff development, some of which should be at the international level;
● Demonstrated professional competence and success in the delivery of innovative and cost-effective delivery of learning programmes and related staff development interventions in a complex multicultural environment;
● Demonstrated ability to identify, contract and manage vendors effectively, assuring high quality standards and timely delivery of learning programmes/interventions;
● Ability to communicate clearly and concisely;
● A track record of success in managing learning programmes / processes to develop capabilities across teams;
● Experience with social media and gamification to drive engagement and sustainability;
● Creativity and flexibility in addressing future challenges in alignment with long-term goals;
● Proven skills in facilitation and presentation.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French and/or Spanish, is desirable.
