Organizational Setting

You will be supporting the HR Team at the Asia and the Pacific Regional Office (APRO) with a variety of HR tasks and initiatives that are targeting the Regional Office as well as the Country Offices in the Region.  

You will report directly to the Strategic HR/Operations Analyst in APRO. Moreover, you will have a strong collaboration with the HR Strategic Partner and the APRO International Operations Manager.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Education: 

Active enrollment in or completion of a degree university programme in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or other related fields.

Knowledge and Experience:

Exposure to one of the fields of the HR industry (workforce planning & staffing, learning and performance management or employee relations)

International experience is desirable and will be considered as an asset.

Interest in the field of development.

Ability to adapt to new environments and to stablish and maintain good working relations with individuals of different cultural backgrounds.

Results oriented and conscientious

Have strong communication skills: excellent listening skills and empathy, ability to write clearly and concisely

Excellent collaborative and team working capability

People focused: high level of concern and interest in delivering excellent customer service to internal clients

Demonstrate the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with staff at all levels in the organization

Languages:

Written and spoken proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of other working languages of the UN is an asset.
