Position Summary:

Under the responsibility of the UNFPA Country Office, which will be in charge of the planning, implementation and monitoring of the activities in accordance with the agreed programme, and under the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator, the Financial and Administrative Analyst will be responsible for providing technical assistance and monitoring in order to guarantee the adequate allocation, execution and justification of the available resources for the transparent implementation of the activities.

The Financial and Administrative Analyst will report to the Programme Coordinator, the UNFPA Operations Manager and the Officer in charge of the ASRH Programme, and will work in close collaboration with the UNFPA Office in Maputo, which will provide direct guidance supervision.

Requirements and Qualifications;

Academic requirements: Bachelors Degree in business administration and/or finance, or related areas.

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in the public or private sector, or in civil society.

Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and good command of spoken and written English.

Computer skills: Proficiency in current office software applications.

The applicant should have good capacity for team work and practical experience in capacity building at local level. He/she should have capacity-building skills and should have demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
