The Programme Analyst on Population and Development (P&D) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) substantively contributes in the design, planning and management of UNFPA’s country programme by analyzing relevant political, social and economic trends at global, regional and national level and providing inputs to program formulation, implementation and evaluation of the Country Programme, annual work plans, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks. The Programme Analyst guides and facilitates the delivery of UNFPA's programme by providing technical assistance and monitoring results achieved during implementation and documenting best practices. She/he ensures and guides the appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops enhancements if necessary.
Education:
Master’s degree in Population and Development, Demographics, Social, Economic or Political Sciences (sociology, demography, anthropology).
Postgraduate studies in areas related to Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics or Public Policies (desirable).
Knowledge and experience:
At least 5 years of work experience in population and development analysis.
At least 5 years of work experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of programs or projects with development cooperation.
At least 5 years of professional experience in programme/project management.
Working experience with international cooperation (desirable).
