Job Summary

Under the overall supervision of the UNFPA CO Representative and immediate supervision of UNFPA CO Program Analyst for Humanitarian Response, the incumbent supports the implementation of RH and GBV in Emergency program of UNFPA CO in areas affected by emergency conflict induced IDPs by working closely with government counterparts, UNFPA NGO implementing partners, and other UN agencies.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Master degree in public health, Gender studies, demography or related fields

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of three year working experience with at least one year experience of working on the area of RH/GBV in Emergency Program
  • Excellent facilitation and training skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Basic kills (word, excel, power point) of the computer
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and away from home for long periods of time
  • Previous work experience with UNFPA

Languages:

Fluency in English - Another UN language would be an asset. Ethiopian regional languages will be a strong asset.

Other Desirable Skills:

Use of basic computer software
