The Position:
The Programme Associate is located in Bangladesh Country Office (CO). You will provide operational programme support to the Programme Analyst (Compliance).
You will report directly to Programme Analyst (Compliance).

Job Purpose:
The Programme Associate supports the design, planning and management of UNFPA’s country programme by providing and managing data inputs, providing logistical support, monitoring project implementation and following up on recommendations. The Programme Associate applies established systems and procedures and assists in the creation of substantive knowledge by compiling, synthesizing and analyzing information relevant to population and development, reproductive health and gender issues. S/he is instrumental in facilitating programme/ project implementation using and developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
• Completed secondary level education required. First level university degree in project administration desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Minimum of six years of relevant experience in programme management is required.
• Previous experience in the UN is an advantage;
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
• Good knowledge of ERP systems e.g. PeopleSoft (ATLAS) highly desirable.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency in current office software applications; good basic knowledge of finances and mastery of a series of financial and spreadsheet software.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Bangla is required. Working knowledge of another UN language an asset.
