Position Summary:
The Programme Coordinator in collaboration with Government counterparts, and other implementing partners oversees the implementation of the Korean Innovative Maternal and Child Health Initiative (KIMCHI) programme and its components in line with national priorities and according to UNFPA policies and procedures.
The Programme Coordinator will be based at the Cabo Delgado Project Office in Pemba, Cabo Delgado, working under the overall guidance of the Representative and direct supervision of the National Programme Analyst in charge of KIMCHI Program. A close and effective collaboration and coordination with DPS (Health Provincial Directorate), is expected during programme implementation.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in public health, social development and/or other related social science field is desirable.
Knowledge and Experiencie
- Seven years of professional experience preferably in managing programs/projects in the public or private sector in developing countries
- Experience in working with government institutions, NGOs and/or UN;
- Experience working in sexual and reproductive health preferably;
- Computer skills: Computer skills (Microsoft Office applications).
Language skills: Fluency in Portuguese and in English
