Job Summary
The Position:
The Programme Specialist for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Gender Base Violence (GBV) post is located in the UNFPA Sebha Sub-Office. You will be the principal adviser and manager at the sub Country Office level for integrated programme in sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights. You will work in an integrated manner with the technical and programme staff in the Country Office.
You will report directly to the Programme Coordinator.

Job Purpose:
The Programme Specialist (SRH/GBV) works in a highly complex operating environment with important programme and political partnership engagements and/or representations. You will play a leading role in the formulation and delivery of SRH and GBV components of the UNFPA Country Programme. You will responsible for the day-to-day management of the SRH and GBV activities of the sub- Office.
Education:
Advanced University degree(Master) in medical science, public health, social work public/community health, gender, or any other related field;
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible relevant professional experience in SRH programme implementation and service provision including experience in gender/GBV programming.
Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, and team working skills and ability to establish harmonious working relations in an international and multicultural environment.
Strong knowledge of sexual and reproductive health, HIV and protection issues in humanitarian and post-conflict/ recovery settings;
Understanding of gender issues in humanitarian and post-conflict/ recovery , particularly GBV, including relevant international human rights standards
Languages:
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic
