The Position:
The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role in tracking progress and building a sound resource base for an innovative programme. You will assess progress during the implementation of the country programme against set objectives and goals, and will be responsible for integrating quality assurance into the mind-set of the overall country programme operations.
You will report to the Representative.

Job Purpose:
Working within a Country Office environment, you will provide advice to the Representative and the Head of Programme on all aspects of the country programme, and support the programme units on strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, audit, implementation of the internal control framework and result-based management policies, resource mobilisation and donor reporting, and financial management of the UNFPA Sierra Leone programming portfolio.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Master’s degree in business administration, project management, social sciences, international relations, or in similar fields.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Eight years of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services, hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects and establishing inter-relationships among international organisations and national governments;
- Proven experience in monitoring and writing project activity reports and in setting up networks of relations between national and international partners;
- Excellent skills in computer/information systems;
- Ability to organize effectively, and to work under pressure with attention to details, precision and accuracy.
