Position summary:

The Operations Analyst is located in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh country office. Under the overall guidance of the Bangladesh CO International Operations Manager and direct supervision of the Cox’s Bazar Head of Sub-Office, the Operations Analyst provides leadership and advice to the Sub-Office on all aspects of operations functions. The Operations Analyst supervises the operations support staff of the Sub- Office as assigned by the Head of the Office.

The Operations Analyst ensures a smooth functioning the Sub-Office and facilitates programme implementation and delivery by providing for the operational needs of programmes and emergency activities managed at the Sub-Office. The Operations Analyst will ensure the Sub-Office is strengthened and supported in its operations, needs and queries by ensuring administrative management policies, regulations, rules and procedures are compatible with the Sub-Office needs.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Education:  

Advanced degree in business administration, public administration, finance, human resources, information technology or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience: 

• At least two years of progressively responsible professional experience in administration, finance or office management.

• Thorough knowledge of the UN Staff Rules and Regulations, HR management policies, financial rules and regulations and procurement.

• Strong analytical and leadership skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.

Languages: 

Fluency in English. Additional working knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
