The Position:
The Reproductive Health Commodity Security (RHCS) Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the sustainability of national RHCS efforts to deliver quality reproductive health (RH) and family planning (FP) services, including uninterrupted supplies of products, with particular attention to reaching marginalized populations.
You will collaborate with national authorities, civil society organizations, private sector and development agencies to provide technical support in order to increase demand for informed and voluntary FP products for women and men of reproductive age and to secure availability of RH commodities.
You will report to the Head of Programme.

Job Purpose:
Working within a Country Office environment, you will provide leadership and technical support to national efforts to scale up an integrated family planning, maternal health, reproductive health, and RH commodities programme with a view to increase demand for, access to and utilization of reliable RH services including commodities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Advanced university degree in Public Health, Medicine, Pharmacy, Supply Management, Public Administration, or other related fields.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Seven years of increasing responsibilities in managing RH or health programmes with direct experience relating to FP, MH and supply management systems;
- Extensive knowledge of supply management: forecasting, warehousing, distribution, transportation, logistics information systems and eLMIS;
- Experience in public procurement and supply management experience related to the health sector (pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceutical medical supplies), and other funding mechanisms emphasizing donor coordination/harmonization and in challenging situation;
- Experience with public health systems in developing countries;
- Ability to forecast procurement using SPECTRUM or similar softwares.
