The Position:

The Sexual Reproductive Health/Quality Improvement Specialist (SRH/QI) provides technical leadership for quality improvement of health facilities and community-level services, by applying evidence-based approaches, and tools. You will provide technical support for the implementation of maternal and newborn health quality of care initiatives, strengthen capacity development, supportive supervision, and mentoring for quality improvement.

You will report to the Maternal Health/Midwifery Specialist.

Job Purpose:

Working within a Country Office environment, the SRH/QI Specialist will support the implementation of quality improvement methodologies in health facilities to improve the availability, quality and use of Sexual and Reproductive health services by adolescents, women and girls.  You will provide mentoring support to build capacity and skills to apply quality improvement methodologies for improving the maternal and newborn care in Sierra Leone.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: 

Master’s degree in public health, medicine, or other related fields.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Seven years of increasing responsibilities in managing SRH programmes relating to FP, adolescents or maternal health
  • Health service delivery/ health systems strengthening experience with practical clinical experience working in health facilities.
  • Experience working in partnering with governments and donors is desirable.
  • Experience working with the UN, with particular experience working with UNFPA, WHO or UNICEF is an added advantage.

Languages:

Fluency in English.
