The Position:
The Compliance and Internal Control Analyst ensures efficient, fully accountable, smoothly functioning and well-managed Operations Support and Services that facilitate programme implementation and delivery. S/he provides support to the Chief Census Technical Advisor in strategically undertaking operational functions, including administration, finance, procurement, human resources, assets and logistics, in the context of the forthcoming census.
S/he will be embedded in Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS) offices. S/he will work under the guidance and direct supervision of the Chief Census Technical Adviser (CTA), with a functional reporting line to the International Operations Manager, under the overall leadership of the UNFPA Country Office Representative.

This position provides support to the Chief Technical Advisor in strategically undertaking operational functions including administration, finance, procurement, human resources, assets and logistics.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Advanced University Degree in business administration, finance or other related fields;
- Any certification from a recognized professional body in Public Finance is desired (e.g., CIPFA) would be an added advantage.
Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant practical and progressive experience in the field, and especially in Africa;
- Experience in operations management, internal controls, audit, financial management, desirable;
- Knowledge of UNFPA procedures and procurement rules, would be an asset;
- Experience working on population census will add a significant value.
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required.
