The Position:
The SRH Programme Specialist reports directly to the UNFPA Representative and in collaboration with the National Programme Specialist, coordinate and oversee the Program for Connected Health Care.
The SRH Programme Specialist provides leadership and technical support to the management of the program for (a) strengthening program elaboration, (b) program implementation, and (c) program monitoring and reporting.
Ensure that capacity is strengthened in the provision of quality, integrated and rights-based SRH, including for youth and vulnerable people (disabled and Indigenous people. S/He will coordinate the implementation and monitoring of the program in close collaboration with national and local authorities, private sector- Philips, UNFPA and other UN agencies, NGOs and population representatives to provide technical, operational, analytical and coordination support to the program.
In close collaboration with the Ministry of health, Philips and UNFPA, the Program specialist will support the program management units in each district and will ensure that they contribute substantially to strengthening the health facilities of the targeted districts, improving access to quality of care in obstetrics and broader SRH for the targeted population, with active community involvement and innovative social and behavioral change initiatives. S/he will also ensure that vulnerable populations and their representatives are included in the program development and implementation.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Advanced university degree in Medicine, Public Health or other related social science disciplines.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 7 years of relevant experience and increasing responsibility in health program management, of which at least 5 years are national and/or international experience in advising on health system development and/or development policies.
- General knowledge of the principles and operational aspects of integrated SRH care.
- Expertise in the management of multi stakeholder partnerships, and private-public in particular.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
- Proven skills in writing and publication of articles in sexual and reproductive health is an asset.
- Interpersonal and communication skills for the dissemination of information and advocacy activities.
- Familiarity with UN development programs and working procedures, especially programming procedures is an asset.
Languages:
- Fluency in French is required.
- Working knowledge of English would be an asset.
