Agreement at 52nd session of the UN Commission on Population and Development calls for strengthening implementation of the International Conference on Population and Development Programme of Action, adopted 25 years ago in Cairo

SEOUL, Republic of Korea—UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is strengthening its longstanding relationship with the Republic of Korea by opening a liaison office in Seoul. The new office, opened during an official ceremony today, will facilitate even closer cooperation on global population and development matters, including sexual and reproductive health and rights, population ageing and humanitarian response.
