UNITED NATIONS, New York — Winners of the 2010 United Nations Population Award will receive their awards this week at an official ceremony at the organization’s headquarters. The laureates were chosen by the Committee for the United Nations Population Award from among 30 international nominees for their outstanding work in population and in improving the health and welfare of individuals. The Committee includes 10 United Nations Member States, with UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, serving as its secretariat.

- Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (represented by Yasuo Fukuda, former Prime Minister of Japan)
