After more than 15 months, the UNFPA Yemen team was able to undertake a mission outside of Sana'a to Ibb Governorate to reach out to the people most in need.

The mission was also another milestone in expanding UNFPA's presence in the UN hubs, with the positioning of an Area Humanitarian Coordinator in Ibb.

In July, UNFPA distributed over $600,000 worth of equipment to meet the reproductive health needs of women and their newborns in Ibb, with the support of the Government of Germany. These equipment would reach nearly 250,000 women of reproductive ages (15-49 years), of which 23,000 are estimated to be pregnant, across the governorate, including among those that have been internally displaced.
