Strengthening the linkages between sexual and reproductive health and HIV prevention, treatment, care and support is critical to achieving the Millennium Development Goals. This systematic review of the literature on linkages between these two areas was conducted in order to gain a clearer understanding of the effectiveness, optimal circumstances, and best practices for strengthening such links. The findings corroborate the many benefits of linking policies, systems and services related to sexual and reproductive health and HIV.

This report documents a workshop to train Iraqi women leaders in tools and procedures to enhance their effectiveness and that of their organizations. UNFPA has long recognized the distinct experience of women in conflict and post-conflict settings and has developed a strategy for gender mainstreaming in such situations. The workshop trained leaders of Iraqi NGOs in the skills to participate in rehabilitation and peace processes.
