When Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti on 4 October, it caused the worse devastation since the 2010 earthquake. UNFPA is assessing the needs of affected women and girls, and is providing care, support and assistance.

The conflict in Syria has created one of the most severe and protracted humanitarian crises in the world today. Millions have been displaced, both within the country and outside—as refugees in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Türkiye. 

UNFPA Syria is on the ground, working with partners to provide integrated reproductive health and gender-based violence services, including family planning supplies and counselling, gynaecology consultations, antenatal care, post-natal care, psychosocial support and comprehensive emergency obstetric care.
