UNFPA Condemns Algiers Attack

11 December 2007

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, joins the Secretary-General in saying that words cannot express our sense of shock, outrage and anger at the terrorist attack on United Nations offices in Algiers on Tuesday.

We mourn the deaths and injuries among United Nations staff and the local community. Our sympathies go out to them and to their families.

We are taking every possible measure to help those affected and their families. We pray for those who have lost their lives and express condolences to their relatives and loved ones.
