The conflict in Syria has created one of the most severe and protracted humanitarian crises in the world today. Millions have been displaced, both within the country and outside—as refugees in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Türkiye.
UNFPA Syria is on the ground, working with partners to provide integrated reproductive health and gender-based violence services, including family planning supplies and counselling, gynaecology consultations, antenatal care, post-natal care, psychosocial support and comprehensive emergency obstetric care.
UNFPA moves quickly when emergency strikes, to protect the reproductive health of communities in crisis.
Donor rankings include UN-to-UN transfers, which are UNFPA's top source of revenue overall.
Effective 1 January 2022, UNFPA adopted a new revenue recognition policy; however, for the purposes of this website, information is presented based on previous policy to allow comparability of information across different years.
