Temperature Monitoring of Condoms

Assessment performed by UNFPA to improve the quality of Reproductive Health (RH) commodities supplied and to ensure purchaser-user protection. This report compares the results of two shipping studies on male latex condoms conducted by UNFPA in which the temperatures of the consignments were monitored during transit between the manufacturers and destination countries.

Notification Form for Purchase of ERP Category 3 Advice Medicines

To prevent an interrupted supply of the medicines that are under the WHO Prequalification Programme, an interim process called the Expert Review Panel (ERP) is available when less than three prequalified products are offered. The ERP is for those manufacturers that are on their way to prequalification but have not yet achieved this status. UNFPA may allow procurement provided a Notification Form has been completed by the requester and approved by the Quality Assurance Team.

Carbetocin: To prevent life-threatening pregnancy complications

Learn about the use of carbetocin with this infographic. The use of carbetocin is recommended for the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) for all births in contexts where its cost is comparable to other effective uterotonics. Heat-stable carbetocin does not need refrigeration. It can be used in settings where it is not feasible to transport or store oxytocin in the cold chain.
