Ukraine War: A mother and daughter find hope in Moldova

Elena and her teenage daughter Tatiana fled the war in Odessa, Ukraine to seek shelter in Chișinău, Moldova. To this day, more than 2.5 million Ukrainians have crossed borders into neighboring countries. Like Elena and Tatiana, most of them are women and children who left their husbands, fathers, brothers and sons behind. Learn more.

Maria, 25, is a single mother of a 18-month-old son who left her parents and two brothers behind in Odessa. She is one of over 874,000 Ukrainian refugees seeking refuge in neighboring countries. The figure is rising exponentially and could reach into the millions in a matter of weeks. Learn more.
