Developing National Capacity to Counteract Domestic Violence in Belarus

The Joint Programme to Develop National Capacity to Counteract Domestic Violence in Belarus worked to improve national legislation to counteract domestic violence, piloted a multi-sectoral, coordinated approach to domestic violence response, and strengthened the capacities of communities to respond to domestic violence and support survivors through increased access to social and legal services.

A joint effort of UNFPA, UNICEF and IOM, with funding from UN Women, the programme ran from 2011 to 2015.
