The Finance and Administrative Associate is located in the Non-Core Funds Management Unit, Office of the Executive Director. The incumbent delivers quality services in administration and finance, including monitoring of financial resources of non-core global funds management unit, to internal and external clients mastering all relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. S/he takes a client-oriented results-focused approach to interpreting the rules, procedures and guidelines, providing support and guidance to the Executive Office. S/he may supervise clerical staff.
Completion of secondary school education; specialized, formal training in finance is required.
Knowledge and Experience:
· 7 years' administration-related, progressively responsible work experience; experience in finance would be an asset.
· Previous experience in the UN an advantage
· Experience of UN financial framework and systems, specifically Atlas / PeopleSoft
· Proficiency in use of spreadsheets, word processing and computerized accounting systems
· Good writing and communication skills
. Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
Candidates must have a valid G-4 visa or USA Citizenship/Permanent Residency to be appointed to this position.
