Position Summary:

The Finance and Administrative Analyst is located in the South Sudan Country Office (CO) based in Juba. Under the overall guidance of the Project Coordinator for the Strengthening Midwifery Services Project (SMS) II and direct supervision of the Country Office’s International Operations Manager, the Finance and Administrative Analyst provides overall guidance and advice for the financial and administrative performance of the SMS II project. 

RequirementsEducation: 

Advanced university degree in Accounting, Financial Management or related discipline. A relevant first level university degree combined with a recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA) may be acceptable in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Knowledge and Experience:

·        At least 2 years of experience in financial management, accounting, administration and/or related area at international level with supervisory experience

·        Additional training in management and administration will be an added advantage

·        Extended specialized experience encompassing in accounting, financial management, IPSAS implementation, preparation of financial reports / statements for external

·        Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT financial systems

·        Excellent Excel skills, experience with ERP (PeopleSoft) and database systems is preferred

·        Excellent written and spoken communications skills

·        Strong interest in development work, especially the mission of UNFPA; and dedication to the principles of the United Nations;

·        Willingness to work in a non-family duty station.

Languages:  Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of Arabic is desirable.:
