The Position:
The Media & Web Design Associate is responsible for enhancing the information flow and visibility of UNFPA through media and Egypt Country Office (CO) website and for supporting the implementation of the UNFPA CO communications strategy in accordance with corporate policies and standards. You will deliver quality support in developing and supporting the CO website and engage the media services to tell the UNFPA stories.
You will report directly to the Communications for Development Specialist.

Job Purpose:
In the UNFPA country office in Egypt and in the context of the implementation of the 10th Country Programme, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth dissemination of true stories of vulnerable populations and the transformations in their lives. You will be part of the programme team and build close relationships with the operations teams, Regional and HQs-based Communications team, national counterparts, implementing partners as well as the UN agencies for efficient and effective delivery of quality support in communications.
You will ensure accurate and reliable data and information are available and reported in a timely manner to the media and on the web, with required accountability to the population and according to professional ethical standards, in line with UNFPA guidelines and procedures.
Education:
Completed Secondary Level Education, Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or other related field preferable.
Knowledge and Experience:
7 years of relevant work experience levant in journalism and online digital information platforms;
Ability to produce digital platforms and migrate data to digital platforms with attention to details and accuracy;
Ability to produce texts in English and Arabic for print media and online use;
Good knowledge of specialized online communications software
Languages:
Full proficiency in English and Arabic is essential.
