The Position:
The Programme Analyst is responsible for providing technical inputs to the planning, conceptualization, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian preparedness and response initiatives of the country programme.
You will maintain collaborative relationships with the government line ministries and departments, civil society constituents, the United Nations funds, programmes and specialized agencies and other development organizations.
You will report directly to the International Humanitarian Coordinator.

Job Purpose:
In a highly complex operating environment, you will play a key role in contributing to the prioritization and effective management of UNFPA interventions o the effective management of UNFPA activities in the areas of humanitarian preparedness and response.
You will facilitate the delivery of humanitarian preparedness and response workplans and the appropriate application of systems and procedures. You will provide information on achievement of results in the implementation of the humanitarian preparedness and response projects.
You will be expected to analyze and assess relevant political, social and economic trends and provide substantive inputs to project formulation and integrating humanitarian and development agendas
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Advanced university degree in medicine, public health, social sciences, international relations or related field.
Knowledge and Experience:
At least 2 years of proven relevant and progressively responsible work experience in humanitarian programme development and management, finance, information technology;
Experience in the implementation of the Minimum Initial Service Package for Sexual and Reproductive Health in Crises;
Strong analytical, coordination and organization skills;
Excellent writing, communication presentation and computer skills.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Urdu are required, knowledge of local languages is an asset.
