Positon summary:
The Programme Analyst, Humanitarian Preparedness and Response is located in the country office (CO) in Yangon and reports to the Humanitarian Response Specialist in Yangon.
Under the overall guidance of the UNFPA Deputy Representative, with the direct supervision of the Humanitarian Response Specialist Affairs and in order to achieve humanitarian affairs related objectives laid down in UNFPA fourth Country Programme, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing, planning and assisting implementation of humanitarian activities. The Programme Analyst will work in close collaboration with national authorities, humanitarian agencies (UN, NGOs and INGOs) and civil society organizations to provide humanitarian assistance as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Advanced university degree in medical science, public health, humanitarian studies, or other social science and development related field.
Knowledge and Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of increasingly responsible relevant professional experience
Strong commitment to the mandate of the UN and UNFPA in Myanmar
Field experience addressing/integrating gender, and/or reproductive health issues in emergency and post conflict contexts
Knowledge of reproductive health, HIV and protection issues in humanitarian and post-conflict recovery settings
Excellent computer literacy (windows environment, MS office applications including Word, Excel and Power-point and Internet skills)
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English and Myanmar is essential with ability to write clearly and concisely and to compose correspondence and documents in both languages. Knowledge of local languages in UNFPA target states and regions is an asset.
