The Position

The Programme Analyst, SRHR assists in the analysis and assessment of relevant political, social and economic trends, guiding and facilitating the delivery of UNFPA’s SRHR humanitarian activities in Manica, Mozambique. The incumbent will report to the designated Local Coordinator for Manica, who is working under the overall guidance of the Humanitarian Response Coordinator based in Maputo. Technical support will be provided by the Surge SRHR Programme Specialist based in Beira.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:  

Advanced degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science discipline.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Two years professional experience in the field of development and population activities, with experience in programme/ project management is desirable
  • Knowledge on the situation of women and girls in Mozambique is an asset.
  • Practical experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects
  • Experience using office software packages and web-based management systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UNFPA humanitarian/development programming and operations, and about UN common programming principles including human-rights based approach, gender equality and capacity development.
  • Skills in collaborating with a wide range of partners, strong communication, networking and excellent organizational skills.

Languages:

Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.
