UNFPA is seeking to hire a Commodity Security Field Coordinator to be based in its Sub-Office in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
Education:
Advanced degree in health, population, demography, supply chain management and/or other related social science discipline.
Knowledge and Experience:
Five years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain management or LMIS.
Significant experience in UNFPA supply procurement and distribution processes involving UNFPA Procurement Services Branch (PSB) desirable.
Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.
Knowledge of Supply Management preferable in a developing country context.
Knowledge of public procurement principles and processes.
Knowledge of procurement process from procurement planning to execution to contract management and administration, including procurement methods and financial and legal implications in procurement process.
Knowledge of general principles and processes in risk management in procurement, including risk analysis and evaluation techniques, strategic and long term and sustainable procurement arrangements.
Technical knowledge of relevant products and services (e.g., vaccines, medical supplies, RH Kits, etc.)
