Joint Programme on Combating Violence against Women and Girls in Papua Province, Indonesia

The Joint Programme on Combating Violence against Women and Girls in Papua Province, Indonesia worked at the provincial and district level to reduce gender-based violence by improving regulations, building the capacity of health and social welfare service providers and police, and working with communities to raise awareness and support survivors.

A joint effort of UN Women, UNICEF and UNFPA, with funding from UN Women, the project ran from 2011 to 2013.
