UNFPA and UN Women Launch Joint Global Programme on Essential Services for Women and Girls Subject to Violence

UNITED NATIONS, New York – UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, and UN Women are joining forces to launch a new programme that will improve the quality of and access to essential services that respond to the needs of women and girls subjected to violence.

2012 Annual Report of FGM Joint Programme: Accelerating Change

This is the first annual report of the Joint Programme, whose objective is to contribute to a 40 per cent reduction of the practice among girls aged 0-15 years in key countries, with at least one country declared free of FGM/C by 2012.
