The Joint Programme to Support the Fight against Maternal Mortality in Haiti worked to strengthen the country’s maternal health system and help reduce maternal mortality. It provided technical assistance and support for health personnel, and worked to increase access to family planning and emergency obstetric care.
A joint effort of UNFPA and UNICEF, with funding from Canada, the project ran from 2005 to 2012.
