An expectant mother hit by floods in northern Nigeria shares her story

“When the floods hit us, it was two weeks before my expected delivery date.”

Fatima, one of our heroic community mobilizers in Nigeria, is among the many expectant mothers affected by the recent flooding in the northern part of the country.

Mother displaced by flooding in Nigeria shares heartbreaking story

Over 1.3 million people have been affected by severe flooding in Nigeria.

“What women and girls are going through is truly heartbreaking,” says Halima*, a displaced mother of three and survivor of domestic violence.
