Rapid Assessment Tool for Sexual & Reproductive Health and HIV Linkages

This adaptable tool can be used to assess linkages betweeen HIV and sexual and reproductive health at the policy, systems and service-delivery levels. It is intended also to identify gaps and ultimately  to contribute to the development of country-specific action plans to forge and strengthen these linkages.

Participants talked about the importance of UNFPA-supported thematic funds—the Global Programme to Enhance Reproductive Health Commodity Security (GPRHCS), the Maternal Health Thematic Trust Fund (MTHF), the Unified Budget and Results Accountability Framework (UBRAF), and the UNFPA/UNICEF Joint Programme on FGM/C—at national level. Country-focused approaches, quick response and support were mentioned as important assets leading to positive changes in the area of health.
