You will provide strategic leadership and overall direction to all information technology and communication initiatives, activities and operations in support of UNFPA globally.
You would facilitate programme/ project implementation, using and developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with established procedures in Programme, Finance, and Administration.
You will develop, implement and monitor UNFPA’s communication strategy for the Syria crisis response, including direct managerial responsibility for a project on gender-based violence and the media.
You will serve as the primary focal point for UNFPA supplies-related media outreach and public relations initiatives.
You will work with the online communications team to create state of the art, data-driven web pages and interactive reports to be launched on the organization’s global website.
You will contribute to the management of UNFPA activities in the areas of population and development, reproductive health and gender.
You will ensure the effective management of sexual and reproductive health and rights, rights-based family planning, midwifery workforce development, and Reproductive Health Commodity Security (RHCS) initiatives.
You will ensure the effective management of population and development, advancing policies on ageing, urbanization and migration and related South-South and triangular cooperation (SSTC) initiatives.
