The purpose of this policy is to set out the conditions and procedures for contracting the temporary services of individuals as international and local consultants at all UNFPA locations, and designating the officials responsible for approving such contracts.

Internships 

This policy establishes a framework under which the UNFPA offers opportunity for talented students and recent graduates to gain professional experience and greater familiarity with the mandate and work of UNFPA.

Service Contracts

The service contract is a modality for hiring individuals under a non-staff contract, for non-Headquarters duty stations. It is administered by UNDP on UNFPA's behalf. The present Service Contract Policy determines the appropriate use of the service contract modality, as well as selection and performance evaluation processes. For additional provisions it refers to UNDP's service contract policy.
