The United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) leads the global effort to end AIDS. The only cosponsored joint programme in the UN system, UNAIDS brings together the expertise of 11 UN system cosponsors and also includes civil society representation in its governing body. UNAIDS providies strategic direction, advocacy, coordination, technical support, information and analysis, working in partnership with governments, the private sector and communities to deliver HIV services.
